Simone is a very experienced voice over. For more than 10 years she is working with her voice. It started out doing radio and later doing a diverse range of audio projects. In this photo (April 2018) she is in the studio working with Hindenburg software.
She also made a song in 2012 self-written and called ‘Passion Subsiding’. You can find it a.o. on iTunes, right here. The lounge track was produced by Seafront Music.

“I have always loved comics and cartoons. For example, when I was a young girl I always watched ‘Transformers’ in the weekend mornings with my brothers. And I devoured comics of Marvel and DC Comics. Also I watched anime tv-series like ‘Candy Candy’.
In my work I always think in stories and images. When I need to explain a certain vision or strategy, when I write or when I need to prepare for a roll as actress. And when I talk, I move a lot with my hands, haha.
So…, it is no surprise that later on in my life… first there was ‘Super Simone’ (2011), then there was ‘Funky Simone’ (2012) and now… ‘Manga Simone’!
Isn’t she beautiful!? This illustration was done by the mysterious ‘RDB’, and it was inspired by my sort of alter ego ‘Funky Simone’ (also on Facebook). ‘Fanart’, as they say. Thanks so much… I love it!

This week Simone worked on an awareness film for Den Haag Fossielvrij. This is the result after a quite windy afternoon at the beach of Scheveningen, The Hague (NL). Simone’s co-actor was Jan Geerling. The film was directed by Jacco Groen, script and editing by Femke Sleegers.

This year it is the 10th edition of CinemAsia film festival. It was founded by Doris Yeung, who ‘immigrated to Holland as a young Asian American filmmaker from San Francisco and felt there was a lack of Asian representation in the cultural offerings at the time’. Congratulations to all who are making this great, diverse festival possible!
Today, March 11th, within the FilmLab program of CinemAsia, the short ‘Laxmi calling Ling’ will be screened again at Kriterion, Amsterdam. Simone will be there! She will also participate in the Q&A afterwards.
